In all the time I have spent in the woods and out searching for wildlife, foxes have always been a challenging animal for me to get a good shot of. A skittish creature by nature, they always seem to be prepared to run. By the time you see one they have already smelled or seen you and are quick to disappear silently. So when the chance arrives to capture a shot of a fox you have to be very quiet and quickly take your pictures before they slink away. Young kits tend to be more curious and playful (like most babies or young animals) and will give you a little more of a chance to see them before it’s too late, and have provided me with some of my favorite shots.
